In the last few years, I've been really fascinated by the logic of manifestation and the ability to use your thoughts to help guide you in achieving life goals.
I've read books about manifestation and at the beginning of 2023 I participated in a manifestation course with Gabby Bernstein.
So, I thought why not start with a blog post about Manifestation, what it is and what are the principles behind it.
What is Manifestation?
Manifestation means to create something or turn something from an idea into reality.
It is about the law of attraction and using positive thinking to help achieve your goals and desires.
It is said that what we focus on is what we attract into our lives. For example, have you ever heard someone say "I just have so much bad luck, I can't believe this keeps happening to me" yet they constantly share on their social media all the things that are going wrong in their lives instead of projecting all the positive things that are going on.
Or alternatively "Wow you're so lucky, you're always winning competitions." The person entering the giveaways is constantly grateful for what they receive and optimistic of their chances. They truly believe they are capable of winning and also that they are deserving.
How can I start Manifesting?
So, you want to start manifesting, but are unsure where to start. There are things we can do to start shifting our mindset. Below are some key points to get you started.
Tell the universe what you want.
Be specific and tell the universe what you want. Whether you put it on a vision board or create some positive affirmations, let the universe know! Extend that a little further to how do you want to feel, know what you want, but more importantly know how achieving what you want will make you feel.
Show Gratitude for what you already have.
Be grateful for what you already have. Share with others through conversation, or keep a journal with daily gratitude, however you choose to acknowledge it, life is always better when we're grateful and remember, what we focus on is what we attract.
Visualise your future self.
An important aspect of manifestation is to be able to visualise the person we want to become like we are already that person.
This might mean that as you lay in bed each night before you go to sleep you visualise yourself achieving your goals. Essentially, you're telling yourself you're capable, you're deserving. If you see it, if you believe it, it can happen!
Eliminate limiting beliefs.
Again, with the mindset 'what we focus on is what we attract' we need to reduce our limiting beliefs and switch our mindset. If you struggle to remove the limiting beliefs try writing down how you're feeling and look for ways to flick the switch, for example, "I won't get the job because I've never used their system" to "I'd be an asset to the company based on my years of experience, i know I'll be able to pick up their system really quickly."
