Hello Summer ... Life Update 002

How did I just blink and spring has disappeared?  How!

What's news?

I got a promo in my corporate job, so I don't think I've looked up since that happened.  What I'm really grateful for is the opportunity to be a leader again (after stepping back for many years to raise my children).  It's always very gratifying to help others find success.

We've filled our cups catching up with family and spending time with friends.

Most recently my girlfriends' parents came over to Australia from the UK and I was reminded how important our family is, especially when they're not around the corner.  I've got family spread out around the country (not quite the same distance but I can relate all the same).

I've managed to squeeze in some live music, including Robbie Williams and The Foo Fighters which has been super fun.  Quick story about Robbie, one of my besties Beth knew how much I loved Robbie, so many years ago (16 in fact) she bought 2 Robbie Williams tickets in a silent auction at her husband's Christmas party.  She was so excited to call me up and tell me she had purchased them so the two of us could go.  Hands down that is friendship!!!

Alas at the time I was in my first trimester of pregnancy and so so sick.  I had to confess I didn't think I would be able to stand and appreciate the concert for it's entirety.  And was also at risk of the voms. So, I suggested with a broken heart she take someone else because only one of us needed to feel this miserable. lol.

Anyway, the universe will always deliver, needless to say Robbie was back and the two of us headed to the concert to correct this terrible situation.  He put on a great show and really lit up the stadium with his presence.  Whoop Whoop!

Lastly, a few weeks back we were treated to a special Japanese night hosted by my good friend's son.  He loves to cook, and we had been heckling him every time we saw him to cook us some of his delicious meals.  Next minute he'd put together a whole menu including Beveridge's and we were set.  We tidied ourselves up and enjoyed a lovely meal.

To top things off one of the other boys gave up his night to be our waiter so we literally didn't have to do a thing.  It was a stella night and we're all so grateful for his talent and his generosity.  Go check out his Insta: sam_is_chef

It really is the silly season isn't it!  I'm trying my best to 'manage the damage' by having a test run at the 30 days to healthy living challenge.  At the moment I'm feeling like 90% there is better than not at all.   Getting in my daily green gut glow drink certainly helps balance me out and not going to lie, the occasional TrueSports Hydration after a big night is worth it's weight in gold.

Anything exciting happening in your neck of the woods?
